Activity 2: Cultural Experience at Arawak Cay (Fish Fry)
This cultural experience is second to none, as our guests will be able to enjoy our culture through music, dance and food. The moment they arrive, a Welcome Junkanoo Rush out will greet them and they will be able to participate in the mini parade as whistles will be provided to each visitor, and they will be encouraged to dance if they desire to do so. Next they will be treated to a step –by-step conch salad presentation, daiquiri presentation and sample conch fritters.
Conch Salad Presentation
Visitors this unique presentation where the conch will be removed from its shell, cleaned and then prepared right in front of them. The conch will be cut into bite sized pieces and tossed with onions, sweet peppers, tomatoes and squeezed with lime!!!
Bahama Mama Presentation
This all natural native daiquiri features fresh fruits such as strawberries, bananas, coconuts (opened in front of the visitors) and pineapples and blended to the perfect consistency. Visitors can choose their own flavor combination and even have a choice of adding Bacardi rum!!
N.B: There will be no charge for adding the rum
Activity 3: Lunch on the Beach at Western Esplanade with Live Band
A delicious Bahamian lunch which will also include a drink and desert will be served on the beach catered by Conch Fritters Bar and Grill. Visitors will have entertained by a live Bahamian Band while enjoying our food and beautiful beach.
Menu:
Main dish:Baked chicken, Peas ‘n’ Rice, Plantain OR BBQ Ribs, Fries and Coleslaw
Desert: Banana Bread and Guava Duff
Beverage: Bahamian Fruit Punch
NB: A special menu will be available for persons requiring specific dietary needs and/or kosher
meals.
Note: After lunch, visitors will have the option of being taken to the Welcome Center via the tour bus if they do not wish to participate in the walking tour of Bay Street.
Activity 4: Walking Tour/Shopping at Straw Market
The walking tour will consist of a 10 – min. walk from Western Esplanade to the Bay Street Straw Market where visitors will be able to redeem their $5 voucher. Select vendors have been chosen to ensure that visitors have the best shopping experience to redeem pre-packed souvenirs such as key chains, jewelry boxes or t-shirts. There is also the option to use the voucher as partial payment for any other item that they wish to purchase.
Activity 5: Walking Tour of Rawson Square, Parliament, Library
The walking tour will continue from the Straw Market west on Bay Street to Rawson Square and Parliament where photos can be taken of various monuments and a brief history about said monuments and The Bahamas’ judicial system will be discussed.
Activity 6: Conclusion of our tour
The Tour Ambassador will walk with guest from the Library to the Welcome Center and be thanked for visiting with us and be asked to come again. Visitors may also have the opportunity to ask any final questions about The Bahamas.

Various activities will be available on the beach to keep our guest thoroughly entertained, these include the following:

- Bahamian Dance Instruction
Visitors will be taught basic dance steps of various Bahamian dances as our live band
plays authentic Bahamian music.
Prizes of Bahamian souvenirs will be awarded to encourage participation.
