Great Inagua and Little Inagua are the southernmost islands in the archipelago. Over one half of Great Inagua ias a national park which play host to the world’s largest colonies of flamingoes – 50,000 plus – which is part of a stunning bird population that includes the rare Bahamian Parrot. Wild boars and donkeys also roam the mineral rich island which is home to The Morton Salt Company. Morton extracts nearly a million pounds of salt annually by solar evaporation of salt beds.
